Several times in the past, Steph Curry has praised international athletes for the way they have inspired him and for the kind of player he has turned into. Juan Carlos Navarro was one of them.
Asked by Mundo Deportivo’s Toni Canyameras about the impact Barcelona’s legend has had for theGolden State Warriorsicon, he replied with nice words. “Every athlete I got to see shoot the ball at a very high level, Juan Carlos being a very unique one,” he first said.
“I hit a one-legged three today, that’s what he used to do. I emulated that pretty nicely tonight, shout out to him. I met him once, but I’ve watched a lot of films and highlights.”
“There are so many shooters who have inspired me and impacted me the way that I play from my dad to Reggie [Miller], to Steve Nash. Juan Carlos is on that list. That’s the cool part about basketball: giving back to the younger generation and then we come it to our own,” Curry also commented.
Steph Curry participated once again in this year’s NBA All-Star Game, being named MVP of the competition.
